One would think that a ministry that is built on musicians and singers would have good corporate tempo. This is not the case for IHOP-KC. Not that I am mad, I’m not even annoyed, I am humored by the fact that I have been here for close to four years and have yet to see corporate clapping be on tempo.

It’s not my fault! We dancers at least, have decent rhythm.
I also like it that the general attitude seems to be “when in doubt, clap louder.”

Sometimes its fun to clap off beat. It’s the best when you stand behind someone you know and clap off beat an too loudly. They are usually afraid to turn around. I love Katie’s story about standing behind Lauren Nolot and singing loudly and way off pitch.

Now throw in Corporate Tamborine worship and see what we get!!! That would be fun. Hand em out at the door.

Tamborines are required to have multi colored streamers.

It sounds like an opportunity for a new ad-min position. We need Clap Leaders at EVERY set/service to stand up near the prayer leader and give us the correct tempo. This, of course, MUST be a work scholarship position.

You think PEOPLE are distracting when they clap? Just wait until the mountains and rivers join join in. Talk about distraction. Sheesh.

Dude, we need to just put the click in the house. Then maybe people would get it…
