It sounds like an opportunity for a new ad-min position. We need Clap Leaders at EVERY set/service to stand up near the prayer leader and give us the correct tempo. This, of course, MUST be a work scholarship position.

Sometimes its fun to clap off beat. It’s the best when you stand behind someone you know and clap off beat an too loudly. They are usually afraid to turn around. I love Katie’s story about standing behind Lauren Nolot and singing loudly and way off pitch.

It’s not my fault! We dancers at least, have decent rhythm.
I also like it that the general attitude seems to be “when in doubt, clap louder.”
